The Point Inn

This was located at 93 Franklin Street where Center Point Veterinary Clinic is located today. It was built around 1950, a typical 50’s style diner with tile floors and juke box “selectors” at every booth where you could put your nickel in and push your favorite selection. This was ‘the place to be’ with the 1950s high school crowd. In 1962 Mr. and Mrs. Willie Brandy purchased the business from Mrs. Arlene Bowers. Previously on this site was a house which burned down, owned by a Hawley family.

1954 The Point Inn Restaurant, today home to Center Point Veterinary Clinic.
